"Caitlin has guided me through the complex process of unwrapping the many components of life to be able to sift through and focus on what is most important and have lazer beam sights set on my goal. Through a series of exercises she supplied me with the tools I needed to deal with everyday life while pursuing my life and business goals. As a result my relationships have strengthened, my stress level has decreased, and I am getting closer and closer to my big goals every day while celebrating the small successes."
What is Life Coaching? According to the International Coach Federation (ICF), "Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."
Coaching is about goal-setting and getting really concrete about those goals. When you set a goal for yourself, I'll ask you where you'd like to be incrementally in relation to that goal - next month, 6 months from now, a year, 5 years, maybe 10 - and together, we'll establish reasonable steps to get you to those personal benchmarks. It's about taking ACTION on your goals - getting them "unstuck" and out of your head and putting real movement behind them.
My coaching style is straightforward and down-to-earth. By combining lots of conversation and pertinent coaching exercises, our work together will enable you to clarify and define your direction, identify and release any obstacles, and enable you to begin proactively creating the life you're uniquely meant to live. Together, we'll examine your goals in a way that makes the coaching process valuable, revealing, motivating, occasionally provocative, deeply meaningful, and even fun!
How many meetings will I need and how long are they?
You can create change through coaching from as few as one or two meetings, or you can go deeper and work steadily with a Life Coach over a span of weeks or months; each coaching session lasts approximately 30 minutes to no longer than one hour, and the number of sessions needed for significant and lasting change to occur is entirely dependent on the client's willingness to work and the kind of personal changes they want to make. Many clients find it beneficial to meet periodically - perhaps bimonthly - to help them maintain momentum and stay focused on their goals.
Where will we meet?
Currently, all coaching is done via phone for the ease and convenience of the client.
How do I know if you are the right Life Coach for me?
To help prospective clients decide if I am a good fit for them, I offer a free 30-minute coaching session via phone. The client's rapport with their Life Coach - that sense of affinity and mutual understanding - is essential in enabling the client to do their most courageous & transformative work. As a Life Coach, I continually "take the pulse" of the working relationship with my clients and ask that my clients do so as well; if something isn't working, I always want to know.
Can I arrange for someone else to be coached by you?
Unfortunately, no. Because personal motivation is essential to successful Life Coaching and the professional alliance is between the Life Coach and the coachee, the initial steps of reaching out and arranging for coaching is an important indicator of motivation and readiness to begin coaching and should always be done by the prospective client, for the prospective client.
